My buddy CJ & I were feeling restless one fine day. So we decided to take his Toyota Land Cruiser out for a spin on Redington Pass above Tucson, AZ. Redington is a magical place, filled with many beautiful, rugged dirt roads. One could spend a lifetime & never see it all. But off we went to see what it had in store for us that day. Below are some photos from our little adventure.
Oh and there’s a bloodhound named Charlie. You’ll love her.
Redington Pass dives between the Catalina Foothills on Tucson’s north side & the Rincon Mountains on its east. The road begins with a cattle guard & an ominous Forest Service sign with something along the lines of “No services next 50 miles.” The road itself is brutal & a favorite for many off-road enthusiasts, gun owners, campers & even nudists. (But more on that later.) Shot up signs like the one below are not uncommon on National Forests.
Pray & spray
We didn’t off-road too terribly hard but definitely had a blast regardless. Just getting out & over a couple obstacles was a great time for us!

This lake is aptly just named “The Lake.” Welcome to the desert.
Looking good with a little mud on her.
Have you ever seen a happier human than one who’s smashing through a puddle?
The best doggo on the whole trail

Even grabbed a hero shot of the land cruiser during the trip. Great day. 10/10 would do again.
