An urban explorer scales the ladder of the abandoned refinery storage tank.

Earlier this year, I determined to explore California and hopefully, find some abandoned treasures along the way. While in SoCal, this abandoned oil refinery caught my attention.

These tanks, built in the 1950s, are the remnants of an old Shell ammonia plant. Rumor has it they will be torn down soon.
